Prof. Clive Smallman
CEO and Executive Dean
Clive has over 40‑years of academic experience as a former Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Dean and Professor of Management in both public and private universities across the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia.
He is a former Senior Research Associate at the Judge Business School, Cambridge University and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Clive leads MSE’s academic strategy and institutional development.
Dr. Mary Haropoulou
Academic Quality Manager
Mary has extensive experience in curriculum design, academic governance, and quality assurance.
Mary has previously worked within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education portfolio at a prominent Australian university supporting curriculum development and academic quality processes across multiple schools.
Mary holds a PhD in Business and has worked internationally across the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia.
Mary leads the development of MSE’s academic quality assurance framework and processes.

Dr. Martin Andrew
Independent Director (Governing Board Chair)
Martin is an experienced Chair, Deputy Chair and Board member with a 40‑year career across multiple educational institutions, including three terms on the Governing Board of the University of Adelaide, a Group of Eight (Go8) university ranked #82 globally and #8 nationally in the 2026 QS Rankings.
His career spans environmental science, sustainability and business management. He holds a PhD and BSc (Hons 1st Class) in Ecology and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Dr. Andrew Mortimore
Non-Executive Director
Andrew has 30 years’ experience leading businesses focused on sustainable development.
With a background in governance, risk and compliance, he has served on the Boards of Bureau Veritas Australia, The APP Group, McKenzie Group Consulting, HDAA Australia, IIOA and FACCI Victoria.
He holds an MBA and a PhD in Sustainable Economics, has published research in ESG and completed programs at Harvard Business School, Cambridge University, Imperial College London and the Australian Institute of Company Directors and was previously an industry advisor and guest lecturer at Federation University.
Prof. Greg Whateley
Independent Director (Academic Board Chair)
Greg is a senior academic leader with more than four decades experience in the higher education sector. He holds advanced qualifications in education, including a PhD and has served as Dean, Deputy Dean, Head of School and long‑standing Chair of multiple Academic Boards including time at a Group of Eight (Go8) university being the University of New South Wales where he was the Director of Education and Quality at the UNSW National Centre for Language Training. He later served as the Dean of The College of Western Sydney University.

Prof. Suzanne Benn
Independent Academic Member
Suzanne is Professor of Sustainable Enterprise in the School of Management at UTS Business School. She was previously Professor of Education for Sustainability, Director of ARIES and Head of the Graduate School of Environment at Macquarie University.
Suzanne has a background in the sciences and the social sciences. Her current research interests range across corporate sustainability and corporate social responsibility, business education for sustainability and organisational change and development for sustainability.
Prof. Sukhbir Sandhu
Independent Academic Member
Sukhbir is a Professor in Sustainability and Academic Lead (Research) at the School of Management at Adelaide University. Her research focuses on social and environmental sustainability issues that confront organisations and societies.
She has a PhD in Strategy (Sustainability Strategies of Firms) and has published in leading management and sustainability journals (incl. Administrative Science Quarterly, Business and Society, Ecological Economics, Business Strategy and Environment). She has also published three books on social and environmental sustainability.
Dr. Leeora Black
Independent Industry Member
Leeora is one of Australia's most eminent experts in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. She was the Founder of ACCSR (the Australian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility) and was the Principal of Sustainability Advisory at Deloitte. She has 30+ years of experience in Sustainability advisory and executive education and training in CSR.
She was previously in the advisory board at Latrobe Business School and holds a PhD in Sustainability from Monash University.
